I'm opinionated, I'm blunt, and usually straight to the point. Some people know what that means and know how to respect that. Sadly, most people don't. It irks me when someone asks for opinions, but when you tell them yours, they act as though you are wrong. Or heck even worse, they act as if they didn't hear you at all!
I'm learning that I'm falling back in love with Portland, ME. I grew up there, graduated from Portland High School in 1997, and then left. It wasn't Portland that I was leaving, it was the bad memories of my past that I was leaving. (This could REALLY get into a long story so I'll stop it at that!)
But needless to say, I fell back in love with Portland in August 2009. In August of 2010, I tried leaving again to Clinton, Maine. But came back a short four months later. If you love the city - I don't recommend moving to a town that doesn't even have ONE street light!! Huge wake up call!
My name is Renee Thompson, and I am here because I want to talk about ALL THINGS PORTLAND. No holding back, no sweet talk, no BS. I'm just your average thirty-something gal (ok, ok, OK - I'm 32 folks geez!), I'm also a mom to 3 of the coolest boys (ages 11, 10 and 2) that I've ever known!! I'm also a lover of photography and you will probably notice this by some of my posts! I carry my D90 EVERYWHERE!!
Come along for the journey!
